Corinne Stavish is a College Professor
in Humanities at Lawrence Technological
University in Southfield, Michigan, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate
courses in the Technical and Professional Communication program and
is the Acting Director of that program. She consults with corporations
on how to do effective presentations. In addition, she tours the country
as a presenter, storyteller, and keynote speaker.
Corinne has appeared at storytelling venues across the
country, including the prestigious National Storytelling Festival in
Jonesborough, Tennessee. She has presented workshops five times at the
National Storytelling Conference and in 2005 was a keynote speaker.
Corinne has edited a book of Jewish folktales, guest edited an edition
of Storytelling Magazine,
received the 2001 Detroit Jewish Woman Artist of the Year for Literature
and has twice been nominated for a Governor's Outstanding Artist Award.
Her CD, Hussies, Harlots, Heroines: Shady Ladies of the Bible,
won a Storytelling World gold award. Her latest CD, Solidarity Forever:
Growing Up Union, has won a Storytelling World honor award.
