2019 Conferences: Updates

It’s hard to believe when sleety ice coats everything, but spring is coming, and with spring, conference season. STC Summit and the regional conference, Spectrum, put on by STC Rochester, top the list for technical communicators in southeast Michigan. Here are some updates.

What to do in Denver in May

The STC Summit, May 5–8, 2019, is at the Hyatt Regency. Advance rate registration continues through March 31, 2019, and will save professional and academic members $325 over the regular registration rate. If you are a student member, the student rate is just $200 for the entire conference, no matter when you register.

Now that you’ve signed up, are you wondering what to do, besides attend Summit sessions? STC Notebook has just what you need: Things to Do in Denver When You’re Here for the STC Summit. There are a couple of surprises on this interesting list.

How to Attend Spectrum: Win the Artwork Contest

STC Rochester has announced the Spectrum Artwork Contest. The Spectrum 2019 conference is March 24–26, 2019, at RIT. Monday, March 25, is the day most of the regular sessions occur. You can enter to win free registration for that Monday by creating artwork for the Spectrum program book. Send your artwork to Spectrum, with the subject line “Spectrum Artwork Submission” by February 11, 2019, at 9 p.m. The winner will be announced February 15.
