Writing for the Web: HTML Basics & Introduction to CSS

Learn HTML basics with an introduction to CSS at the April 2011 STC/SM Program Meeting. The Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC/SM) will host the event on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting in Dexter, MI. Also, we will have the drawing for the chapter membership renewal incentives.
Are you frustrated and overwhelmed when creating web pages? Do you want to modify Adobe Dreamweaver's page layout and get frustrated when the product doesn't work as expected? You will learn how to create basic web pages using HTML and how to enhance your web page with CSS. After attending this meeting, you will have the resources and knowledge to get started.

Directions and Parking
Thomson Reuters is located in Dexter, MI, to the West of Ann Arbor, MI, within about an hour from most locations in southeastern Michigan.
Visitors will come to building 3 (the two-story building with the Thomson Reuters sign on the front of the building) and sign in at the information desk directly through the front door. The conference room is on the first floor to the right of the front desk: please come in, register with the STC/SM program greeter, and then get a badge from security.
