A primary service provided by STC/SM is the regular publication of the chapter newsletter, TECHcomments, the chapter's publication of record. The Newsletter team works to provide informative, insightful articles to update members about chapter and society news and activities, and stimulate professional development opportunities. STC/SM maintains a large collection of historical chapter newsletters. Please feel free to visit the Newsletter Archives and browse through the collection ranging ten years, from 1997 to 2009.

STC/SM encourages contributions from all chapter members and other technical communicators for the TECHcomments newsletter. The Winter 2010 TECHcomments, staring off with reminders from the chapter president, Mark Lockwood, features several STC/SM activities through the first half of the chapter term, including programs, a membership drive, networking lunches, and the STC conference. A Member Spotlight focuses on STC/SM volunteer Deborah Stacy—be sure to check that out along with the Reading Round-Up about the 90-year-old textbook, "Technical Writing".
