During this networking event we’ll share our personal highlights and accomplishments as a chapter, recognize outstanding contributions from council members, and introduce you to the new 2020–2021 STC Michigan Great Lakes chapter executive council.
Join STC-SM for our annual holiday mixer on Tuesday, December 3, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.! Now that it’s almost the end of the year, let’s take a step back to reflect upon 2019 with friends. Everyone is welcome—you do not need to be a member of STC-SM to join us, so bring along a friend and join us for some great conversation and networking.

We’ll enjoy delicious Italian fare and hear from those who attended the STC Summit in Denver, share our personal highlights and our accomplishments as a chapter, and recognize some outstanding contributions from STC-SM council members!
Spring is here, and what better way to celebrate it than to get outside with your tech comm peers? Join us on February 13, 2019, from noon–1 p.m., in our Slack workspace, on the coffee_club channel for an opportunity to get to know fellow chapter members in a relaxed and peaceful setting—at least for an hour—your desk.
This is a bring-your-own-coffee event. Bring your own tea, if you prefer, as well as the rest of your lunch.
We hope to see you at our annual holiday mixer and networking meeting in Northville. Everyone is welcome; you do not have to be a member of STC-SM to join us.

Want to meet with technical communicators from various backgrounds or learn more about the STC community? Please join us Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6–8 PM for a networking event in Detroit! This event is open to students, technical communicators, or anyone interested in STC.
Please join us on December 12 at Conor O’Neill’s in Ann Arbor to meet new people or catch up with old friends as we exchange stories, have a few laughs, and reflect on 2017! There will not be a reserved room, so join us at the bar. Feel free to bring a friend. Everyone is welcome.In previous years, longtime STC/SM members mingled with newer and prospective members and members of the UX and other sister communities to learn more about writing prospects in our area or just exchange stories over drinks and food. There is no entrance fee, but everyone will be responsible for their own drinks and food. Ask the host to be directed to our area if we have already moved from the bar to a table.
